The Brief:Corporate Intranet Website -
- Company employees from different department to be able share documentation.
- Technical support can store drivers, troubleshooting information etc.
- Managers can review employees working hours.
- Information from some corporate database reports (SAP R/3) can be available from intranet.
- Provide downloadable company standard forms and general documentation.
After meeting with representatives from different company departments I created custom navigation interfaces depends on department needs.
I was responsible to converting data to appropriate formats to be accessible from intranet and uploading files to server.
Created reports from SAP R/3 database for users specific needs, stored results as ASCII comma delimited files on server and provided access to them from intranet web pages using Standard Microsoft ActiveX Control component.
Provided training for company employees on intranet usage.
Technical Information:- The site hosted on IIS4, Web server software that runs under Windows NT.
- Front end built in HTML, JavaScript and ActiveX.
- Reports created from SAP R/3 database using ABAP4 programming language.
- Interface design in Photoshop.
- Site works proper under Windows 95-NT using IE 4.0 +.
